Russian Crafts & Cultural Exchanges
We created a lineup of cultural tours to give you the opportunity to find out as much as possible during your stay in Russia. You may order a package tour dedicated to studying Russian traditions, art, and culture or choose from a list of options to add to your program of stay. After taking a closer look at the Russian traditions you will probably better understand the Russian way of thinking and culture. We invite you to dive deeper into the Russian art history taking, for example, a master class on traditional crafts (doll-making, doll-painting) or take a cooking lesson to learn how to cook the right borsch or Russian-style pancakes. We can also help with organizing cultural exchange tours for big and small groups (e.g. amateur choirs or music bands exchange or language learning enthusiasts).
Russian Lifestyle & family traditions
We offer you the opportunity to get acquainted with the most interesting phenomena of the Russian lifestyle and traditions during one of our Cultural tours. You can enjoy the optional folklore show during the dinner with typical dishes of the Russian cuisine or take a tour to "dacha" in the suburb of Vladivostok (a summer cottage with private orchard and kitchen-garden used for growing some vegetables, fruits, berries and for taking rest). Here you will have a small tea party with blinys (pancakes) and pirozhkis (small stuffed pies). You may also take a cooking master-class and learn how to cook some famous Russian dishes and get the recipes to try them at home. If you don't have time enough for a half-day tour you can just choose a Family Visit tour with a homemade 3-course meal with tea and dessert in the company of the hosts, so apart from trying the dishes of the Russian cuisine you will see the lifestyle of a typical Russian family.
If you are interested in Russian culture and art or just would like to learn more about it, we invite you to join one of our specialized art programs. As one of the largest cultural centers of the Russian Far East Vladivostok has a lot to offer to art lovers: opera and ballet performances, classical or jazz music concerts, as well as picture and art galleries. The Vladivostok Opera and Ballet Theatre, opened in 2013, has been the Primorsky Stage of the renowned Mariinsky Theatre of St. Petersburg since 2016. It's the youngest and most modern theatre in Russia staging world famous operas and ballets performed by an international cast. If you like classical music you can visit the Primorsky Philharmonic Society (concert hall) to hear the most popular music compositions by world-famous composers. The branches of the Hermitage museum (St. Petersburg) and the Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow) will be opened in Vladivostok in the nearest couple of years, adding more colors to its cultural palette.
